Welcome to Knights Notes, a daily recap and preview of all the stuff happening with Knights athletics and former Middletown athletes.

Compared to the craziness that was yesterday’s game, today will be rather calm with just one Middletown Athletic event but tons of former Middletown athletes in action.

Without further ado, here are your Knights Notes for February 28th:

- The Boys Swimming and Diving team finished in a respectable 8th place out of 54 teams of the 1A/2A/3A State Championship. (Link)

- The Girls Swimming and Diving team racked up 39 points to put themselves in 18th place out of 54 teams at the 1A/2A/3A State Championship. (Link)

- Girls Basketball saw their season come to an end in the sectional quarterfinal round of the 2015 MPSSAA 2A Girls Basketball State Championship, losing to Boonsboro 39-35. (Link)

- Boys Basketball on the other hand took care of Boonsboro with ease, knocking off the Warriors 61-40 and advancing on to the next round of the playoffs. (Link)

- Robby Tucker and the Frostburg State baseball team would take down St. Joseph's of Maine easily with the Bobcats winning 14-2. Tucker would not play in the game. (Link)

- Conner Myers and the Old Dominion University baseball team took down Rutgers 3-0 in Myrtle Beach. Myers went 1-3 with an RBI single in the bottom of the 7th inning. (Link)

- Nick Rabat and the VCU Baseball team had to go to extra innings but they got the job done taking down Pittsburgh 5-4 in 12 innings. Rabat did not play in the Rams win. (Link)

Knight of the Day-February 27th: A lot of worthy candidates for this award tonight but it’s not every day that you can pick up two state championships in a day. Because of that the award goes to Middletown sophomore John Pressly who won the 100 yard butterfly and the 200 yard freestyle at the state championships.
