JV Field Hockey: Knights face challenge in Owls

Winning After MidKnight

The Middletown High School Knights Junior Varsity Field Hockey team will take the field in Middletown on Tuesday September 6th for their contest against the Westminster High School Owls at 5:15 knowing that a large challenge will be standing in front of them.

The Owls, who are one of the top field hockey programs in Carroll County and the state of Maryland as a whole are notorious for producing talent from top to bottom whether it be at the Varsity or Junior Varsity level and this year’s Owls team that the Knights will face is no different in the least.

The Owls have a strong offense that moves the ball well and can attack from different angles combined with a solid defense and tough goaltending that make it tough for opponents to score and allow the Owls to attack in transition with speed.

This is just one of a few successive challenges for Middletown as they look to take down the Owls in what is sure to be one of the toughest season openers that any team could have.

If Middletown can win it, it would be a perfect way for the Knights to start the season and would help them in the to create some momentum for the next few games.
