Junior Varsity Boy's Soccer: Middletown Falls to Tuscarora

Winning After MidKnight

The Middletown High School Knights Junior Varsity Boy’s Soccer team knew that they were facing a big test when they took on the Tuscarora High School Titans that a big test would be in store for them.

The Titans had managed to stifle all of their competition and appeared to be one of the best teams at the junior varsity level in Frederick County so the Knights knew that it would be a challenge to take down the Titans.

In the end it would be the Titans who would come out on top as they would dispatch of Middletown by a 3-0 score, as the Knights fell to .500 on the season.

Middletown (2-2) was coming into the match having flipped back-and-forth between wins and losses in the first three matches that they played and this streak would continue as Middletown would be unable to pick up the win against a Titans team that pushed them throughout the contest.

It was the home opener for the Titans, and Tuscarora (2-0) would not disappoint the home crowd hoping to see something happen as they would use a strong offense that has been prominent throughout their season. The Titans opened up the season putting up three goals on the North Hagerstown Hubs and the Titans would continue their strong offensive play against the Knights.

Middletown will now look to next week as they have contest with the Oakdale High School Bears and Frederick High School Cadets looming as large as Middletown enters the toughest part of the season. This challenging part of the schedule will provide Middletown with non-stop challenges and if Middletown can play well and pick up wins throughout this portion of the schedule they’ll be in a good position to finish over .500.
