Winning After MidKnight
The spring sports season is almost
upon us with the first play date on Friday, March 20th and a host of
scrimmages happening in the days before that. We’ll keep you updated with
season previews for all the spring sports teams and previews for the
scrimmages.
Without further ado, here are your
Knights Notes for March 15th:
- Chase Hoffman and the Shepherd
University Baseball team will look to improve on the 6-2 record they have when
they take on University of Virginia-Wise at Frederick Community College in
Frederick, Maryland, just 15 miles from Hoffman’s home of Middletown. The Rams
will take on UVA-Wise in a doubleheader with 1st pitch of Game 1 at
9:00 a.m. and 1st pitch of Game 2 at 11:00 a.m. (Link)
- Mitch Sgrignoli and the Mount Saint
Mary’s Mountaineers Baseball team will also be forced to go on the road due to
inclement conditions at their field. The Mount will take on the St. Bonaventure
University Bonnies in a doubleheader at Harford Sports Complex at Harford
Community College in Bel Air, Maryland. Game 1 will be a 9-inning contest
starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by a 7 inning contest at 12:30 p.m. (Link)
- Robby Tucker and the #25 Frostburg
State Bobcats Baseball team will head on the road when they travel to Newport
News, Virginia to take on Christopher Newport University in a doubleheader. 1st
pitch of Game 1 will be at 12:00 p.m. with 1st pitch of Game 2 at
2:00 p.m. for the two 7-inning contests. (Link)
- Max Edelmann and the Community
College of Baltimore County-Essex Men’s Lacrosse team will look to continue the
undefeated start to their season when they take on Suffolk Community College in
Essex at 12:00 p.m. (Link)
- Conner Myers and the Old Dominion
University Baseball team will conclude their series with Western Kentucky
University when the Monarchs take on the Hilltoppers in Bowling Green, Kentucky
at 1:00 p.m. today. The Monarchs will look to take the series win in the Sunday
rubber match. (Link)
- Emily Boyce and the Richmond Spiders
Women’s Lacrosse team will head way out west when they take on the Oregon Ducks
in Eugene, Oregon. Boyce and the Spiders will take the opening face-off at 3:00
p.m. eastern time. (Link)
- Nick Rabat and the Virginia
Commonwealth University Rams Baseball team will play in the 2nd game
of the PK5 Classic when they take on the James Madison University Baseball team
at 6:00 p.m. at The Diamond in Richmond. (Link)
- Kameryn Corcoran and the Virginia University Rowing team will conclude their time at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational at Melton Hill Lake in Tennessee today. (Link)
