Welcome to Knights Notes, a daily recap and preview of all the stuff happening with Knights athletics and former Middletown athletes.

We have lots of former MHS Athletes competing in events today with 16 athletes competing in 14 different events, including 3 former MHS athletes all playing in the same contest.

Without further ado, here are your Knights Notes for March 18th:

- Austin Main and the Davis & Elkins Baseball team would see their slump continue as they were swept by the Seton Hill University Griffins Baseball team in a doubleheader yesterday in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. The Griffins won Game 1 over the Senators, 6-3. Main would pitch in that contest, getting the start and giving up 6 runs (5 of them earned runs) on 9 hits in 4 and 2/3 innings. He would throw 93 pitches, face 24 batters and give up a walk while recording four strikeouts. The Griffins would break out the lumber in Game 2, taking down the Senators 24-10 in a game Main did not play in. (Link)

- Robby Tucker and the #16 seeded Frostburg State Bobcats Baseball team would see their perfect season fall after 13 games, when they lost yesterday to the #15 Randolph-Macon Hornets in Ashland, Virginia by a score of 5-2. The Hornets would tack on the go-ahead three runs in the bottom of the 8th inning in a game in which Tucker did not play. (Link)

- Billy Griffin and the Washington College Baseball team would not fare well in their home opener as they would be dispatched by the Stevens Institute Ducks of Hoboken, New Jersey by a score of 9-6. Griffin would pitch an abbreviated start due to early season pitch counts, going 2 innings, and giving up 1 earned run on 2 hits with a walk and 3 strikeouts. Griffin would take the loss for the Shoremen dropping his record to 1-1. ()Link

- Nick Rabat and the Virginia Commonwealth University Baseball team would get shutout for the third time this season on Tuesday, falling to the Monmouth Hawks by a score of 7-0. Rabat would see his first extended playing time of the season, going 1-3 with a walk and a double for the Rams. (Link)

- Connor Myers would be the first former Middletown athlete of the day to land on the winning side of the ledger as him and the Old Dominion University Baseball team would take down the Virginia Military Institute Keydets by a score of 8-5. Myers would go 2-4 during the game, racking up a single in the 1st inning and then scoring by stealing home. He would ground out to 3rd base in the 4th inning and would pop up to 3rd base in the 6th inning but would break in to the hit column again in the 7th inning legging out an infield single. He would add a run, an RBI, a putout, and his 5th stolen base of the season to his ledger. (Link)

- Max Edelmann and the Community College of Baltimore County-Essex kept up their undefeated season when they defeated Union County College by a score of 20-6. Edelmann did not play for the Knights in the win. (Link)
