Junior Varsity Volleyball: Knights Look to Rebound Against Titans

Winning After MidKnight

The Middletown High School Knights Junior Varsity Volleyball team will look to rebound when they take from their first defeat of the season when they take on the Tuscarora High School Titans on Thursday September 15th at 6:00 p.m. from Ron Engle Court.

The Knights (2-1) continue the Frederick County portion of their schedule when they take on the Titans, a team that has enjoyed success and has managed to help fuel the success of a Varsity team that has continuously gone deep in the playoffs.

Middletown will look to recover after falling to the Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles by a 2-1 loss as the Knights dropped their first sets and first match of the year to the Orioles in what was Middletown’s closest game of the year.

Even though the Knights lost to the Orioles it still was a solid match for the Knights as they were able to respond well in the first test that they had faced all year proving that they were a team who could do more than just cruise in the easy matches that they played in.

Middletown’s match against the Orioles would go down to the wire in almost all of the sets and the Knights will look to use that first taste of pressure that they have seen in a match situation for good as they move forward in the season starting with the contest against the Titans.

The Titans (1-2) come into this match against Middletown as a team in the middle as they have won sets in two of the three matches that they have played and have barely fallen in the two matches that they have lost this season.

Tuscarora would start off their season by falling to the Westminster High School Owls but would recover from that with a three-set victory over the South Hagerstown High School Rebels before falling to the North Hagerstown High School Hubs to get to the current match against Middletown.
